Matching

Every receipt and payment matched to its invoice or bill

Closio matches each bank line to the invoice or bill it settles, including payments with TDS deducted, one payment covering several invoices, and part payments. An invoice can only be settled once, so nothing is counted twice.

On our benchmark company in September 2026: 80 of 80 receipts matched, and none matched to the wrong invoice.

Evidence

Matched on evidence, never on a guess

Closio links a bank line to an invoice only when there is evidence: the party's name in the bank narration, the invoice number, or a single open invoice for exactly that amount. If none of these hold, the line is put on hold for you instead of being forced onto an invoice.

Bank reconciliation statement

What is a bank reconciliation statement?

A bank reconciliation statement explains why the balance in your books differs from the balance on your bank statement, usually because of cheques not yet cleared and deposits not yet credited. Closio prepares it every month and flags real errors, such as an entry booked for the wrong amount.

Deposits not yet credited− ₹80,000

Bank reconciliation questions

Which bank statements does Closio read?

The statement you download from your bank's net banking as a spreadsheet (CSV), for current and savings accounts. Each account is matched separately.

How does Closio know which invoice a payment is for?

From the party's name in the bank narration, the invoice number, or a single open invoice for exactly that amount. If none of these fit, the line is put on hold for you instead of being guessed.

What if my customer deducted TDS before paying?

Closio recognises payments that are short by the usual TDS rates of 1%, 2% or 10%, matches them to the invoice and shows how much TDS was deducted.

Can one payment cover several invoices?

Yes. Closio matches a payment to the open invoices from that party that add up to it, and handles part payments by leaving the rest of the invoice open.

What happens to bank charges, salaries and tax payments?

They are sorted by type, such as bank charges, salaries, GST and TDS payments, loan EMIs, card payments and bounced payments, so you don't have to look at each one.

What is a bank reconciliation statement?

It explains why your books and your bank statement show different balances, usually because of cheques not yet cleared and deposits not yet credited. Closio prepares it every month and flags real errors, like an entry booked for the wrong amount.
