GST credit check
Claim only the GST credit your suppliers have reported
Every month, Closio matches each purchase bill in your books with GSTR-2B, the list of bills your suppliers have reported on the GST portal. Credit is claimed only when both match. Anything else is put on hold with the reason, so you never claim credit the government can't see.
Also caught: bills entered twice, wrong GST numbers, credit you're not allowed to claim, and bills still unpaid after 180 days.
GST returns
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, prepared from your books
Closio sorts every sales invoice into the right part of GSTR-1 and builds GSTR-3B from the same books, so both returns agree with each other and with your accounts. You get the file to upload to the GST portal, and the late fee and interest if a date was missed.

TDS
The right TDS on every payment
Closio works out which TDS rule applies to each payment, checks whether you've crossed the yearly limit with that party, and uses the rate in force on the payment date. If the party has no PAN, it uses the higher rate. You get the monthly payment amount and the quarterly returns.
PF and ESI for your staff are worked out every month too.
Due dates
When are GST and TDS due?
For a company filing GST monthly, the TDS payment is due on the 7th, GSTR-1 on the 11th, PF and ESI on the 15th and GSTR-3B on the 20th of the following month. TDS returns are due every quarter, on 31 July, 31 October, 31 January and 31 May.
Government extensions can move these dates; Closio follows the ones that apply to you. TDS for March is due by 30 April.

GST and TDS questions
Does Closio file my GST returns?
No. Closio prepares GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B and the file to upload. You or your CA check them and file on the GST portal, so you always see what goes out.
What if a supplier hasn't reported a bill?
The GST credit on that bill is put on hold, not claimed. When the supplier reports it in a later month, Closio matches it and the credit can be claimed.
How does Closio work out TDS?
It looks at what each payment is for, adds up what you have paid that party this year, and uses the rate in force on the payment date. If the party has no PAN, it uses the higher rate.
Which TDS filings does Closio prepare?
The monthly TDS payment amount, the quarterly TDS returns for salaries (24Q) and other payments (26Q), and the TDS certificates you give employees and vendors (Form 16 and Form 16A).
Does Closio stop me claiming credit I'm not allowed?
Yes. GST credit on things like food, cars, club fees and gifts is blocked, and credit on bills you haven't paid within 180 days is reversed with interest.
Do I still need a CA?
Yes, to review, file and sign off. Closio does the preparation, so your CA checks finished work instead of building it from your files.
